
Dr. Byron Guffee
Dr. Byron Guffee is a Pendleton native. He lives by the philosophy that “you should treat others as you want to be treated.” He is compassionate when it comes to his patients’ needs and is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care without discomfort. While being a dedicated doctor and devoted friend to his patients, Dr. Guffee is married to his wife Kayla Thrasher Guffee. They have 3 sons named Rollins, Asher, and Hewitt. Kayla is also a Pendleton native, and a first grade teacher at Calhoun Academy of the Arts. They are both active at Concord Baptist and in their community.
Dr. Guffee enjoys fishing, visiting with family and friends, and volunteering at local free dental clinics. He has been on four dental mission trips to Ecuador, South America and Burundi, Africa to help those less fortunate.
Dr. Guffee is a 2005 graduate of Clemson University and a 2011 graduate of The Medical University of South Carolina, where he excelled and was the recipient of several academic and clinical awards, including the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry Award and the MUSC Pediatric Dentistry Award for his excellence in clinical skills, as voted on by his professors. His academic awards include multiple scholarships and the MUSC President’s List and Dean’s List all four years. Dr. Guffee is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Spear Study Club.

Dr. Banks Weed
Dr. Banks Weed was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He decided to pursue a career in dentistry during his undergraduate studies at Clemson University, where he graduated in 2014 with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2018. Following dental school, he completed a post-graduate residency program in advanced general dentistry at East Carolina University. Dr. Weed is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. He believes that the field of dentistry is constantly changing and evolving, which motivates him to stay up to date on the most modern technology and research. He is committed to providing high-quality dental services with honesty, integrity, and compassion to care for each patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Weed is married to Mary Frances Ballenger Weed, who is a native of Greenville, SC. Together they have a daughter, Emmy, and a golden retriever named Bonnie. In his spare time, Dr. Weed enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, being on the water, and playing disc golf. Dr. Weed is excited to be in upstate South Carolina and is honored to serve the people of the Anderson community.
